Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

As part of London Bridge's commitment to accessibility, we share our multi-year plan which outlines our strategy and actions that we have or will implement to prevent and remove barriers and to meet our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians Disabilities Act (AODA).

In accordance with the AODA's Information and Communication Standard, London Bridge has and will:

  • Make all websites and content conform with Level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) by January 1, 2021, and ensure that any significant redesign of our current website complies with Level A of WCAG 2.0

In accordance with the AODA's Employment Standard, by January 1, 2016, London Bridge will strive to ensure inclusive employment processes for recruitment, retention and development within the organization, including:

  • Notification of our commitment to accessibility and availability of accommodation

  • Provision of accessible formats and communication supports that take into account an employee's accessibility needs. Develop a protocol where agreement cannot be reached

  • Taking employees' disabilities and accommodation needs into account in respect of performance management and career development

  • Ensuring processes are in place to support employee / workplace accommodation requests following absences from work and during an employee's employment

The province of Ontario is working towards improving opportunities and making the province accessible for people with disabilities by 2025 through the development, implementation and enforcement of accessibility standards. The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) provides a general framework for ensuring organizations and workplaces are accessible to people with a disability. We have aligned our multi-year accessibility plan with this framework.
